Our Story
Our collaboration was born out of a shared appreciation for the natural areas of southern France, which we call home. Before combining our efforts, we independently sought out different ways of supporting biodiversity, such as working in wildlife care centres. This work made us all aware of the current fragility of ecosystems and encouraged us to dig deeper: with terres à Terre, we now want to deal with the problem at its root. traiter le problème à sa racine.
Meet the terres à Terre team
Myriam
Team Builder
Myriam is 50 and has had a busy professional career. As a manager in leading environmental research projects, she was initially particularly interested in marine ecosystems. She quickly understood that everything in this world was interdependent and extended her professional skills to the living world as a whole.
A keen globetrotter, she has combined her career and her passion for trek to visit over 25 countries across no less than 4 continents. She has scraped the sky atop the Kilimanjaro’s glaciers, has immersed herself into the troubled waters of the Amazon, and has let herself be seduced by the silent songs of Nepalese temples.
Myriam loves challenges and that is why she is jumping with both feet into the terres à Terre adventure. She brings an open-minded view of the world, a capacity to tackle issues with an atypical perspective and her ability to question herself. Despite her pragmatism, she keeps a developed artistic sense, and her only guide is pleasure as we can only do well what truly nourishes us.
Myriam is a ‘quiet force’ who creates links everywhere she goes, but above all, she is down to earth.

Cécile
Project launcher
Cécile grew up in the countryside of the south of France and her will to act for living beings naturally developed.
Her curiosity, endless questions about biodiversity and her tendency to dissect any dead creature she could find on her walks led her to study veterinary medicine. She jumped at the opportunity to carry her studies in Cambridge where she completed an additional degree in environmental conservation and psychology. This love for wild spaces inspires her to develop her artistic self by painting landscapes that she encounters on hikes. Always looking for pragmatic solutions the creation of terres à Terre with her co-founders quickly became self-evident.
It is with great determination that she brings idea after idea to the charity, but above all, she is down to earth.

Alice
Webmaster
Nature has always been a source of wonder and comfort for Alice. Powered by her will to understand it better, she decided to pursue studies in zoology, applied ecology and veterinary medicine at the University of Cambridge. She is particularly interested in the intersection between the animal kingdom and our human world on a global scale. Having grown under the influence of many cultures (Alice is Belgian and Mexican) she likes to see things through an international lens.
Despite her critical thinking and pragmatic side, she appreciates the aesthetic charm of the living world and reveals it through photography, and it is this dual approach that she brings to terres à Terre.
Driven by her will to share what Nature has brought to her throughout the years, she is down to earth.
